Who We Are
Abby’s Wish is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping stray and feral cats and dogs throughout South Florida.
We were founded on compassion, love for animals, and a commitment to making a real difference in the lives of those who cannot speak for themselves.
Every day, we work to provide food, medical care, and support for the people on the front lines—those who dedicate their time and resources to caring for homeless animals.
Our Mission
Abby’s Wish is a nonprofit organization focused on raising funds to help stray cats and dogs throughout South Florida.
We work to:
Provide food and daily care for stray and feral animals
Support Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs
Help cover medical expenses and treatments
Assist the incredible individuals who care for these animals every day
Stray animal overpopulation is a growing problem—but with your help, we can make a real difference.
The Problem
South Florida, like many areas, faces a serious stray animal overpopulation problem.
Without proper intervention:
Animals go without food or clean water
Illness and injury often go untreated
Populations continue to grow rapidly
Many animals live short, difficult lives
One of the most effective solutions is Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)—a humane process that helps control population growth while allowing animals to live safely in their environment.
What We Do
Helping stray and feral animals takes time, effort, and resources.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Support
We assist with the process of safely trapping animals, transporting them for spay/neuter procedures, and returning them to their original location.
This involves:
Purchasing and maintaining traps
Coordinating with clinics and organizations
Covering surgical and medical costs
Supporting individuals who carry out this important work
Community Support
We work alongside dedicated individuals who:
Trap animals
Transport them to clinics
Feed colonies daily
Monitor their health and safety
These people are the heart of this mission, and we are here to support them.
Food & Daily Care
We help provide food for hundreds of stray and feral cats, as well as some dogs.
Many caregivers pay out of pocket to feed these animals—we help ease that burden through fundraising and donations.
Medical Assistance
From minor treatments to more serious medical needs, we help cover costs so animals can receive the care they deserve.
